KARAKTERISTIK PASIEN DENGAN SINDROM KORONER AKUT DI RSUP DR. MOHAMMAD HOSEIN PALEMBANG PERIODE JANUARI 2023-DESEMBER 2023
Background: Acute Coronary Syndrome (ACS) is one of the leading causes of mortality and hospitalization due to cardiovascular disease. Variations in patient characteristics and the presence of metabolic risk factors may influence the occurrence and prognosis of ACS. Therefore, understanding the profile of ACS patient characteristics is essential as a basis for preventive planning and clinical service optimization. Methods: This study was a descriptive observational study with a cross-sectional design. Data were obtained from medical records of patients diagnosed with Acute Coronary Syndrome who were hospitalized at Dr. Mohammad Hoesin General Hospital, Palembang, during the period of January–December 2023. A total of 120 medical records that met the inclusion criteria were analyzed. The variables studied included age, sex, body mass index, diabetes mellitus, cholesterol profile, and blood pressure. Data analysis was performed descriptively to illustrate the distribution of patient characteristics and risk factors. Results and Conclusion: This descriptive observational cross-sectional study utilized secondary data from the medical records of 120 patients with Acute Coronary Syndrome (ACS) treated at Dr. Mohammad Hoesin General Hospital, Palembang, from January to December 2023. The analyzed variables included age, sex, body mass index (BMI), diabetes mellitus, lipid profile, and blood pressure. The results showed that the majority of patients were male (67.2%) and were predominantly in the >60-year age group (36.1%) and the 51–60-year age group (33.6%). Based on BMI classification, most patients were in the normal category (63.8%), followed by overweight (26.7%) and obesity (2.9%). Diabetes mellitus was present in 27.6% of patients. Most patients exhibited dyslipidemia, particularly elevated LDL levels and combined lipid abnormalities. Above-normal blood pressure was observed in more than half of the patients, with prehypertension and hypertension as the dominant categories. Keywords: Acute Coronary Syndrome, patient characteristics, cardiovascular risk factors.
