GAMBARAN HARAPAN PADA GURU HONORER DI PROVINSI SUMATERA SELATAN

This study aims to determine the description of hope in honorary teachers in South Sumatra Province. The population of this study were honorary teachers in South Sumatra Province. The sample in this study was 211 honorary teachers and 32 honorary teachers to test measuring instruments or try out. The sampling technique used was accidental sampling. The measuring instrument used is the expectation scale which refers to the aspects of Snyder (2002). The data analysis used is descriptive statistics. The results showed that the hope of honorary teachers is in the medium category which can be seen from the categorization results. Medium hope indicates that honorary teachers are able to create a pathway to their goals even though they have fewer rights in choosing the desired pathway to achieve their goals. In this study, it was also found that female honorary teachers have a higher level of hope than male honorary teachers. It was also found that honorary teachers at the SD/MI level had a higher level of hope than honorary teachers at the TK/PAUD, SMP/MTs, and SMA/SMK/MA levels. Furthermore, in this study, it is known that the goals aspect is higher for honorary teachers than other aspects. This indicates that honorary teachers still have goals in life
