KINERJA BADAN PERMUSYAWARAN DESA (BPD) DALAM MENINGKATKAN PARTISIPASI MASYARAKAT DALAM BIDANG PEMERINTAHAN DESA DI DESA PELAJAU ULU KECAMATAN BANYUASIN III KABUPATEN BANYUASIN
This research aims to evaluate the performance of BPD in increasing community participation in village government in Pelajau Ulu Village. By using the Approach Methodology: Qualitative with the case study method. Sampling: Purposive sampling. Data Collection: Documentation, interviews, and observations. Conclusions that can be drawn regarding the performance of BPD in increasing community participation are professionalism, proportionality, accountability, effectiveness and efficiency. The observation findings examined were percentages: 80% of BPD activities appeared to be running according to expectations, while 20% did not appear or were less than optimal. Main Problem: Lack of transparency from the village head and poor communication. This results in the BPD's function not being implemented in the formulation of the village income and expenditure budget (APBDES). So, increasing professionalism, increasing transparency, improving communication, performance evaluation can be concluded that BPD's performance in increasing community participation in Pelajau Ulu Village is still facing several challenges, especially in terms of transparency and communication. Improvement efforts in these aspects are needed to increase the effectiveness of BPD in carrying out its functions and duties.
