ANALISIS TARIF KERETA API MAHASISWA BERDASARKAN ATP DAN WTP
Train has become one of the alternatives that can be used by the University of Sriwijaya students to facilitate mobility. The long distance and the level of effectiveness and efficiency of students to attend lectures from Palembang City to Indralaya is one of the reasons why PT. Kereta Api Indonesia reactivated the railway line specifically for students from Kertapati Station to the station within the University of Sriwijaya Indralaya campus. Transportation service users generally use fares as the payment, revenue for transportation operations using the ideal fare to provide profits for the company. Fare determination from the user's perspective uses the Ability To Pay (ATP) and Willingness to Pay (WTP) approaches as one of the fare determinations for feasibility testing. The data used is data on the socio-economic characteristics of respondents, the purpose and objectives of the trip, respondent preferences, and the total number of students at the University of Sriwijaya. The results of this study are, 100% of students agree with the reoperation of the railway line. Based on the ATP calculation, students are able to pay with an average fare of Rp. 12,000, while for the WTP calculation, students are able to pay Rp. 212/km or Rp. 6539/31km.
