Methodism is one of the rapidly growing Protestant denominations in Indonesia, rooted in the teachings of John Wesley. The Indonesian Methodist Church (GMI) has a centralized structure with regions and districts that oversee local churches across the country. However, there are coordination challenges in districts with widely dispersed local churches, such as District I Region II (Sumsel, Jambi, Bangka-Belitung), exacerbated by inadequate church facilities that fail to reflect the image of the "House of God" and to accommodate district-wide activities. The solution to these issues is the construction of a Methodist Center Church with comprehensive facilities to support worship and the spiritual needs of congregations throughout the district.
