KEMAMPUAN KONEKSI MATEMATIS SISWA PADA MATERI JURING LINGKARAN MENGGUNAKAN PENDEKATAN PMRI KONTEKS BOLU KOJO DI KELAS XII
Several studies have examined students’ mathematical connection abilities through the PMRI approach; however, none have applied it to circle sector learning using the culturally relevant context of bolu kojo. This study describes students’ mathematical connection abilities in circle sector learning within a PMRI-based bolu kojo context using a mixed descriptive method conducted through preliminary, field test, and teaching experiment stages. Data were collected through observations, tests, and interviews involving three 12th-grade students at SMA Negeri 10 Palembang selected through purposive sampling to represent high, medium, and low ability categories. The data were analyzed descriptively through data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The findings show that students generally demonstrated a medium level of mathematical connection ability, with variations in proportional reasoning, interpreting scientific units, and linking mathematical concepts to real-world contexts. The integration of the bolu kojo context within PMRI provides an innovative and culturally relevant instructional approach that supports students’ understanding and enhances their mathematical connection abilities.
