PROFIL LIMFOMA PADA PAYUDARA DI RSUP DR. MOHAMMAD HOESIN PALEMBANG DARI TAHUN 2014-2024

Background. Breast lymphoma is a blood malignancy that can be seen as a primary tumor (primary breast lymphoma/PBL) or a secondary manifestation of lymphoma that arises from different parts of the body. Although it is rarer than breast cancer (BC), it has a worse prognosis than BC. This study aims to determine the number of cases and distribution of characteristics of breast lymphoma at Dr. Mohammad Hoesin General Hospital Palembang from 2014–2024. Method. This research is a retrospective descriptive study with a cross-sectional study approach based on medical record and laboratory results from breast lymphoma patients in Dr. Mohammad Hoesin Palembang Hospital from 2014 2024. Every patient who fulfils the inclusion criterion is selected to be a participant in this study using a total sampling method. Result. There are 11 cases of breast lymphoma in Dr. Mohammad Hoesin Palembang Hospital from 2014 to 2024. The most cases, four, are found in 2023. Nine of the 11 patients were under 60 years old, with a median age of 49. Eleven lesions are unilateral, primarily in the right breast. Stage IE, with 3, is the most common, with the most common subtype being diffuse large B-cell lymphoma (DLBCL), with eight cases. Clinical manifestations include lymphadenopathy, fever, loss of weight, pain, and pressure pain. Lab result shows decreased levels of haemoglobin and hematocrit and elevated LDH. Conclusion. These findings indicate that breast lymphoma at RSMH is a very rare malignancy, dominated by DLBCL. However, significant limitations in clinical and staging data require improvements in the recording system and further studies.
