Social exclusion has the potential to old elderly population (aged over 70 years). The elderly population has the same rights in social life. Treatment and actions by their closest people restricting the elderly ti participate in social activities will make it easier for them to obtain social exclusion. This research uses a qualitative research method design, because the aim of this research is to describe information obtained through non-participant observation, in-depth interviews and documentation. There is an obstructive attitude, limiting social participation towards the elderly population and an attitude of neglect from the community and even the family members of the elderly population themselves towards the elderly population, thus making the elderly population experience social exclusion in Sukamaju Village, Sako District, Palembang City. Elderly people who experience social exclusion actually have the right to remain active in social roles, so that they do not become obstacles in social relations. For this reason, it is actually necessary to provide social support to elderly residents who experience social exclusion in Sukamaju Village, Sako District, Palembang City.
