STRATEGI PENDIDIKAN POLITIK KOMISI PEMILIHAN UMUM PROVINSI SUMATERA SELATAN DALAM MENINGKATKAN PARTISIPASI POLITIK PEMILIH PEMULA PADA PEMILIHAN UMUM TAHUN 2024
This research aims to explore the political education strategies of the General Election Commission (KPU) in South Sumatra. The research design is qualitative descriptive, utilizing Chandler's strategy theory, target and long-term goal formation, action selection, and resource allocation. Data collection methods involve direct Interviews with staff and the community participation section of KPU South Sumatra. The research findings indicate that the KPU in South Sumatra has implemented various political education strategies to enhance the political participation of young voters. These strategies include leveraging social media, organizing awareness campaigns in schools, voter education campaigns, and skill training programs for participation in democratic processes. Furthermore, the study contributes to a deeper understanding of the efforts made by the KPU in South Sumatra to increase political participation among young voters. The implications of this research can serve as a foundation for related institutions to enhance and optimize political education strategies in preparation for future elections. After synthesis, it is evident that the KPU in South Sumatra has effectively employed political education strategies, as confirmed by three indicators from Chandler's theory theory Keywords: Socialization, Strategy, Political Education
