ANALISIS PENGGUNAAN APLIKASI TIKTOK UNTUK KOMUNIKASI POLITIK OLEH KEPALA DAERAH DI INDONESIA (STUDI PADA AKUN TIKTOK GANJAR PRANOWO)
The meteoric rise of the social media platform TikTok in Indonesia can be attributed to its user-friendly interface, accessibility, and innovative features. Interestingly, political figures like Ganjar Pranowo have embraced this medium as an avenue for political communication, primarily for disseminating campaigns and public service initiatives. The current study, employing a descriptive quantitative content analysis methodology, delves into Ganjar Pranowo's political communication strategies on TikTok. Data were sourced from documentation and existing literature. The findings reveal a dominant focus on the dimension of "Self-Marketing," highlighted by the indicator "Sharing Personal Achievements." This stands in stark contrast to the "Spreading Ideology" dimension, which yielded the lowest frequency and percentage, indicating a reluctance to utilize TikTok as a space for political debate. Meanwhile, the "Personalizing Politics" dimension ranked second in frequency and percentage, suggesting TikTok's efficacy in fostering connections with younger audiences while humanizing Ganjar Pranowo.
