DISTRIBUSI TEKANAN ALIRAN AIR-UDARA PADA PIPA PLEXIGLASS DENGAN KEMIRINGAN 45º KE ATAS
The pressure of two-phase flow in pipes is complex. This complexity arises due to the interaction between the phases, and the diversity of flow. The distribution of pressure and energy loss along piping systems is a critical factor in efficiency system. To determine the pressure distribution along the pipe, this research was conducted using an experimental method on a Plexiglass pipe with a 45° upward inclination, utilizing a superficial water velocity of 0,5607 m/s – 0,9344 m/s and superficial air velocity of 0,3957 m/s – 0,7914 m/s. This study aims to analyze the pressure distribution along the pipe and the pressure values against the JL/JG ratio, by varying the superficial velocity of water (JL) and air (JG) The pressure values inside the pipe were measured using pressure gauges installed at each measurement point. The pressure distribution value at point P1 for a constant JL of 0,5607 m/s and varied JG was 109899,4076 N/m2 (at JG = 0.3957 m/s), while the lowest pressure value at P1 was 107939,5430 N/m2 (at JG = 0.7914 m/s). It was found that the pressure drop increases as the measured point has a higher air concentration. Specifically, the pressure value at point P1 when the JL/JG ratio was 1,4170 was 109899,4074 N/m2. Subsequently, when the JL/JG ratio decreased to 1,2152, the pressure value at P1 also decreased to 109164,4584 N/m2. This trend was consistent with other JL/JG ratios when the JL/JG ratio increases, the pressure value increases, and conversely, when the JL/JG ratio decreases, the pressure value decreases.
