EKSPLORASI BUDAYA PETANI TAMBAK UDANG DI KABUPATEN OGAN KOMERING ILIR SUMATERA SELATAN DAN ANALISIS HASIL PANEN DENGAN REGRESI DUMMY

This study aims to explore the culture of shrimp farmers and develop a dummy regression model to predict shrimp harvest yields. The data used is primary data obtained through surveys and interviews with shrimp farmers in Bumi Pratama Mandira Village, Ogan Komering Ilir Regency. A qualitative approach with a descriptive narrative method was used to explore cultural aspects, while a quantitative approach was applied through dummy regression analysis. The results of the cultural exploration show that mutual cooperation is still an important part of shrimp farming activities. In addition, farmers still believe in monitoring the full moon phase, which is associated with the shrimp molting process, using traditional medicines as a first step in treating disease, and applying the nyipon culture before harvesting. The results of the dummy regression analysis show that the number of fry (tails), the number of paddles (units), the number of ponds, and the amount of feed (kg) have a significant effect on shrimp harvest yields. Meanwhile, the dummy variables for pond type and feed type do not show a significant effect. The estimator model produced the equation value of \hat{Y}=-928.777+0.003X_1+101.600X_2+284.230X_3+0.967X_4 with an R^2 0.869, meaning that the model was able to explain most of the variation in shrimp harvest yields.
