The Influence of Employee Competence, Commitment, and Adaptability on Service Effectiveness in Regional Public Hospitals in South Sumatra Province through Electronic-Based Information Systems as an Intervening Variable By: Bembi Farizal This study examines the influence of employee competence, commitment, and adaptability on service effectiveness in Regional Public Hospitals (RSUD) in South Sumatra Province, with electronic-based information systems serving as an intervening variable. A quantitative approach was applied, employing Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) with AMOS software to assess both direct and indirect effects among the variables. The results demonstrate that employee competence, commitment, and adaptability have a significant impact on the implementation of electronic-based information systems in RSUD. These variables also exert a significant influence on hospital service effectiveness. Notably, the study finds that electronic-based information systems play a significant mediating role in the relationship between employee competence, commitment, and adaptability and the effectiveness of hospital services. These findings suggest that the effective utilization of information technology can enhance the contribution of human resources to improving the quality of healthcare services in regional public hospitals. The study offers practical implications for hospital management, particularly in strengthening employee competence and adaptability to technology as part of the broader effort to support the digital transformation of public healthcare services.
