ANALISIS ANGKUTAN SEDIMEN LAYANG PADA BENDUNGAN TIGA DIHAJI KABUPATEN OGAN KOMERING ULU SELATAN

Yoshanda, Shalsabila - Personal Name;

Tiga Dihaji Dam is the first dam that will be built in South Sumatera Province. Sedimentation in this dam can cause shallowing and reduce the effectiveness of the dam’s utilization. This study was conducted to calculate the suspended sediment transport at Tiga Dihaji Dam and compare the results of the calculations with the discharge in the field. The methods used to calculate suspended sediment discharge were the Einstein method, the Chang, Simons, and Richardson method, and the Lane and Kalinske method. The data acquired from the field was tested in the laboratory and the results were analyzed, obtaining the average suspended sediment concentration of 20 mg/L for Sample 1 and 25 mg/L for Sample 2. The results of sediment discharge calculations using the Einstein method are 0.00405 kg/s for Sample 1 and 0.00619 kg/s for Sample 2, using the Chang, Simons, and Richardson method are 0.06425 kg/s for Sample 1 and 0.20992 kg/s for Sample 2, and using the Lane and Kalinske method are 0.00163 kg/s for Sample 1 and 0.02677 kg/s for Sample 2. The difference between the sediment discharge in the field and the calculation results using the Einstein Method is 0.6376 kg/s for Sample 1 and 0.99639 kg/s for Sample 2, using the Chang, Simons, and Richardson method is 0.5774 kg/s for Sample 1 and 0.79266 kg/s for Sample 2, and using the Lane and Kalinske method is 0.64002 kg/s for Sample 1 and 0.9758 kg/s for Sample 2. Based on the difference results, the suspended sediment discharge calculation method that is the closest to the field results is the Chang, Simons, and Richardson method, with the smallest average difference of 0.68503 kg/s.
