ANALISIS PERAN KELOMPOK WANITA TANI (KWT) DALAM PROGRAM URBAN FARMING DI KOTA PALEMBANG

Maghfira, Sabila - Personal Name;

Women Farmers' Groups (KWT) are participatory organizations formed to empower women, particularly in agriculture and household-scale food management. Women Farmers' Groups (KWT) play a strategic role as driving forces for community-based urban farming. Bukit Kecil and Plaju Districts are two districts in Palembang City dominated by residential and urban areas, and have Women Farmers' Groups (KWT) actively managing urban farming activities. The objectives of this study are: (1) Analyze the role of Women Farmers' Groups (KWT) in the urban farming program before and after assistance, (2) Analyze the economic and social benefits received by Women Farmers' Groups (KWT) in the urban farming program before and after assistance, (3) Formulate agribusiness development strategies for Women Farmers' Groups (KWT) in the urban farming program in Palembang City. The sampling method used in this study was the census method, as the population involved was relatively small (less than 100 people), allowing for more accurate and comprehensive data. The sample size for this study was 40 people: 27 members of the Cempako Women's Farmers Group (KWT) and 13 members of the Barokah Women's Farmers Group (KWT). The results of this study indicate that (1) the role of the Women's Farmers Group (KWT) in the urban farming program in Palembang City is in the instrumental category after receiving assistance from a state-owned enterprise (BUMN). (2) the economic and social benefits received by the Palembang Women's Farmers Group in the urban farming program are in the beneficial category after receiving assistance from a state-owned enterprise (BUMN). (3) the agribusiness development strategy of the Cempako Women's Farmers Group and the Barokah Women's Farmers Group in the urban farming program in Palembang City is in quadrant 1 (Aggressive Strategy). The location of the Aggressive Strategy coordinates in Quadrant I indicates that the KWT's internal conditions have been able to support optimal utilization of opportunities. Keywords: Economic Benefits, Social Benefits, Institutional Assistance.
