PENGARUH MODEL PEMBELAJARAN PROBLEM BASED LEARNING BERBANTUAN MEDIA AUDIOVISUAL CANVA TERHADAP MINAT BELAJAR EKONOMI PESERTA DIDIK KELAS XI SMAN 2 INDRALAYA UTARA

Sari, Junita - Personal Name;

This study aims to analyze the influence of the Problem-Based Learning model assisted by Canva audiovisual media on the learning interest in economics among eleventh-grade students at SMAN 2 Indralaya Utara. The research background indicates that economics learning is often unengaging, with students lacking focus and active involvement, necessitating innovations like Problem-Based Learning that encourages active participation through realworld problem-solving, aligned with Vygotsky and Bruner's constructivism theories. This is a quasi-experimental research using a One Group PretestPosttest Design. The population consists of all eleventh-grade classes at SMAN 2 Indralaya Utara. Sampling was conducted using Cluster Random Sampling, resulting in class XI IPS 1 with 25 students as the sample. Data collection techniques included questionnaires and observations. Data analysis of student learning interest showed a pretest average of 57% and a posttest average of 79%. The learning interest indicators that improved from pretest to posttest include interest, with percentages of 59% (sufficient category) and 81% (very good category). Observation data from the learning process using the Problem-Based Learning model assisted by Canva audiovisual media yielded scores of 77.78% in the first meeting, 81.94% in the second, and 83.33% in the third. Hypothesis testing using a paired sample t-test showed t-count = 18.895 ≥ t-table = 1.7109, meaning Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted, concluding that there is an influence of the Problem-Based Learning model assisted by Canva audiovisual media on the economics learning interest of eleventh-grade students at SMAN 2 Indralaya Utara. The conclusion emphasizes the effectiveness of Problem-Based Learning assisted by Canva in making learning more engaging and interactive, despite limitations such as the need for Canva premium and focus solely on learning interest, as well as the relatively short research duration for observing long-term impacts. Suggestions include further research for other subjects, increased student participation, enhanced guidance for educators, and optimization of Canva premium features for more engaging and interactive material development.
