FORMULASI EKSTRAK ETANOL DAUN SIRSAK (ANNONA MURICATA) DAN DAUN BUNGUR (LAGERSTROEMIA SPECIOSA) TERHADAP AKTIVITAS ANTIDIABETES SECARA IN VITRO.
Soursop leaves (Annona muricata) and bungur leaves (Lagerstroemia speciosa) are tropical plants that have long been used in traditional medicine for various health conditions such as antidiabetes. This study aims to obtain the optimal combination formulation of soursop (Annona muricata) and bungur (Lagerstroemia speciosa) leaf extracts as antidiabetic activity in vitro. The yield of 70% ethanol extract of soursop leaves was 7.22% and the yield of 70% ethanol extract of bungur leaves was 2.44%. This study was conducted at concentrations of 225 ppm, 275 ppm, 325 ppm, and 375 ppm. Each concentration was combined with soursop and bungur leaf extracts in the ratio of 0:1, 1:2, 1:1, 2:1, and 1:0. Nelson-Somogyi method was used to measure the antidiabetic activity in vitro using UV-Vis spectrophotometer at a wavelength of 750 nm. The optimal in vitro antidiabetic activity was shown in the combination of 70% ethanol extract of soursop leaves and bungur leaves with a ratio of 1:2 at a concentration of 275 ppm showing an inhibition value of 63.09% which was significantly higher than the use of a single extract.
