KEMAMPUAN PEMODELAN MATEMATIKA SISWA KELAS VIII PADA MATERI SPLDV DENGAN BERBANTUAN MATHGPT
This study aims to describe how eighth-grade students' mathematical modeling abilities are assisted by MathGPT in system of linear equations in two variables (SLETV) material. This qualitative descriptive study was conducted in November at SMP PGRI 7 Palembang. The subjects in this study were 18 eighth-grade students. The procedure carried out in this study consisted of three stages, namely the preparation stage, the implementation stage, and the final stage. The data collection techniques in this study were written tests consisting of two questions describing mathematical modeling abilities and interviews with samples from each category of mathematical modeling ability. The written test data were analyzed by giving scores and then categorizing the students' abilities, while the interview data were transcribed into written sentences. The results of the analysis showed that the mathematical modeling abilities of eighth-grade students at SMP PGRI 7 Palembang varied. Students who had mathematical modeling skills in the very good category accounted for 50%, those in the good category accounted for 33%, and those in the adequate category enough for 17%.
