Melli, Melli - Personal Name;

This research aims to see how the United Kingdom's compliance with the Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination Against Women (CEDAW) in promoting gender equality. Unaddressed gender equality can result in restrictions on opportunities and access that hinder the achievement of the full potential of individuals which then creates a comprehensive gap in various aspects of life. The theory used in this research is International Regime Theory which is then elaborated through the concept of International Regime Compliance by Ronald B. Mitchell. Mitchell. The research method used in this study is a qualitative method which evaluates how the United Kingdom implements the values of CEDAW. The findings of this study identified that the United Kingdom achieved passive compliance category in implementing CEDAW values according to 3 compliance indicators. First, in ternis of output; the United Kingdom implements its domestic policy rules in line with CEDAW to promote gender equality. Second, in terms of outcome; there are significant changes in the United Kingdom's behavior in achieving equality both through policy implementation and taking innovative actions in collaboration with various parties;. Third, namely impact; as a result achieved by the United Kingdom after the output and outcome have taken place, which is seen from the factual conditions of the country's environment in this study, especially in the political and economic dimensions, the UK has achieved adequate results and shows factual conformity with regime norms, it is just that it does not affect conditions in a big way or progress is slow. The United Kingdom complies with regime norms not only because of external pressure but because they believe the long-term benefits will be greater and compliance will improve their position as a global actor in the international arena.
