ANALISIS SELF-DISCLOSURE PENGGUNA TIKTOK PADA FITUR KOMENTAR FOTO MELALUI PENDEKATAN ONLINE DISINHIBITION EFFECT

This study examines the phenomenon of increasing self-disclosure among users in TikTok photo comments, which poses privacy risks while reflecting changes in communication patterns. Based on this urgency, the study aims to understand how self-disclosure is formed and interpreted in photo comments using the Online Disinhibition Effect as the analytical framework. The research employs a qualitative approach with a netnographic design through observation and supporting interviews. The results indicate that self-disclosure is triggered by a perceived sense of safety in the digital space, allowing users to freely share personal experiences. Solipsistic Introjection emerges as the dominant pattern, as users feel they are directly dialoguing with the creator, transforming the comment section into a personal storytelling space. Invisibility, Asynchronicity, Dissociative Anonymity, Dissociative Imagination, and Minimization of Authority further encourage the disclosure of sensitive information visually and textually. Photo uploads add an emotional layer that makes the narratives more intense and personal. Overall, the findings show that self-disclosure in photo comments is not merely a desire to share oneself but a result of digital disinhibition that shapes perceptions of closeness and comfort in TikTok’s public space.
