ANALISIS HASIL SINTESIS NANOSILIKA BERBAHAN DASAR FLY ASH MENGGUNAKAN METODE HIDROTERMAL DENGAN VARIASI DURASI PEMANASAN
Fly ash is the remaining ash from coal combustion. Silica in fly ash can be used to increase the compressive strength of concrete. Quality nanosilica can be produced by the synthesis process from fly ash waste. The materials used in this study were fly ash, HCl solution, NaOH, distilled water, and kangen water. These materials will be synthesized using the hydrothermal method. This study used variations in heating duration, namely 10 hours, 12 hours, and 14 hours. This study used microstructure testing to analyze the synthesis results in the form of X-Ray Diffraction (XRD), X-Ray Fluorescence (XRF), and Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM). From the results of the XRD test, it can be concluded that the longer the heating duration, the smaller the size and the greater the percentage of amorphous. From the results of the XRF and SEM tests, it was concluded that the longer the heating duration would produce the greatest amount of silica. Based on the test, it was obtained that the optimum combustion temperature in the synthesis process was 14 hours which produced a silica purity of ±54% and a crystal size of 22.59 nm with crystalline as much as 2.17% and amorphous as much as 97.82%.
