PARTISIPASI PESERTA PENYANDANG DISABILITAS TUNARUNGU PADA AKSI SOSIAL PENDIDIKAN AGAMA (Studi di Komunitas GERKATIN Kota Palembang dan Forum Masyarakat Berdaya)
This research focuses on the forms of participation of deaf participants in religious education social action and the obstacles faced by deaf disabled participants in religious education social action in the Gerkatin community, Palembang City. The existence of religious education social action for deaf people with disabilities gives them the right to equal education based on the participation provided. The aim of this research is to analyze and understand the participation of deaf people in religious education social action. The research method used is descriptive qualitative with a case study research strategy. This research uses the Siagian concept of participation. Data was obtained from 10 main informants, 2 key informants, and 2 supporting informants through interviews, participant observation and documentation as well as using data analysis techniques from Miles, Huberman. The results of this research show that there is participation of deaf people in religious education social action in the form of (1) Habits during learning in this activity in the form of praying before carrying out learning and forming groups, (2) Demonstration in the form of teaching aids and learning evaluation, (3) Visual media. But, there are obstacles faced by deaf participants in the form of social interaction. Keywords: people with disabilities, participation, deafness, and social action.
