KEMAMPUAN PEMECAHAN MASALAH MATEMATIKA PADA MATERI BARISAN ARITMATIKA DENGAN PENDEKATAN PMRI SISWA KELAS XI
This study aims to describe the mathematical problem-solving ability of grade XI students in learning arithmetic sequence using the PMRI approach. The research method used in this study is descriptive research with qualitative and quantitative data processing. The subject of this study is students in grade XI F 3 of SMA Negeri 8 Prabumulih, totaling 25 students in the 2025/2026 school year. The data collection technique is by collecting observational data, written tests, and interviews. The written test consists of two questions; Based on the results of the analysis and discussion of the indicators of problem-solving ability, 60% of students were able to understand the problems used, 48% of students were able to plan solutions to solve problems, 44% of students were able to solve problems according to the plan that had been made, and 72% of students were able to re-check the answers that had been made. Based on the results of this study, it can be concluded that students of grade XI F 3 SMA Negeri 8 Prabumulih have a relatively low problem-solving ability in solving test problems in arithmetic sequence material using the PMRI approach.
