KEMAMPUAN PEMODELAN MATEMATIKA MATERI BALOK DAN KUBUS DALAM PEMBELAJARAN BERBANTUAN AUGMENTED REALITY (AR) PADA SISWA KELAS IX
This study aims to describe the mathematical modeling abilities of ninth-grade students on the topics of rectangular prisms and cubes through learning supported by Augmented Reality (AR). This study uses a descriptively approach with participants consisting of ninth-grade students from SMP PGRI 7 Palembang. Data were collected through mathematical modeling tests and interviews and analyzed descriptively based on modeling ability indicators, namely contextual problem understanding, mathematical model construction, model solving, and solution interpretation. The results showed that the use of AR media helped students visualize rectangular prisms and cubes more concretely, thereby facilitating the process of abstraction into mathematical models. In general, the students' abilities fell into the good category, with strengths in the visualization stage and weaknesses in the interpretation stage. These findings indicate that AR-supported learning can be an alternative strategy to improve students' mathematical modeling abilities in three-dimensional geometry.
