KEMAMPUAN COMPUTATIONAL THINKING PESERTA DIDIK KELAS VIII DALAM MENYELESAIKAN SOAL NUMERASI MATERI BILANGAN BERPANGKAT
Computational Thinking Ability is a thinking process in determining problems and designing solutions so that they can be solved effectively. This study aims to describe the Computational Thinking Ability of eighth grade students of SMP N 1 Palembang in solving numeracy problems on the Power of Numbers material. The research method used is descriptive research with data collection techniques in the form of tests and interviews. Data were collected through Computational Thinking Ability tests, the results of which will be categorized into low, medium, and high levels. The research subjects were 32 eighth grade students. Then 6 students were selected to be interviewed to deepen the students' answers in solving problems based on high, medium, and low categories. The results of this study indicate that students in the low category only have one indicator of Computational Thinking Ability, students in the medium category only have 2-3 indicators of Computational Thinking Ability, and the high group can fulfill all indicators of Computational Thinking Ability.
