ANALISIS KELAYAKAN USAHA PENANGKARAN BIBIT KELAPA SAWIT BERSERTIFIKAT DI KABUPATEN BANYUASIN
Certified oil palm seedling nurseries play an important role in supporting the availability of high-quality seedlings and the sustainability of the oil palm plantation industry. This study aims to (1) analyze the non-financial feasibility of the business, covering technical, legal, market and marketing, socio-economic, and environmental aspects; (2) analyze financial feasibility through Net Present Value (NPV), Internal Rate of Return (IRR), Net Benefit Cost Ratio (Net B/C), and Payback Period (PP); and (3) analyze the sensitivity of business feasibility using the switching value method. The research method used was a case study with descriptive and quantitative analysis. The results showed that, non-financially, this business is feasible because it is supported by facilities, legality, high market demand, socioeconomic benefits, and controllable environmental impacts. Financial analysis shows that the business is economically viable with a Net B/C of 3.32, NPV of 1,264,126,887, IRR of 32%, and PP of 1.72 years. Sensitivity analysis shows that the business is relatively more tolerant to a decline in production (41.67%), an increase in operating costs (23.79%), and a decline in selling prices (12.49%). However, a combination of a decline in selling prices and an increase in operating costs reduces the tolerance limit to 8.95%, indicating that the business is most vulnerable to simultaneous financial pressures. These findings can be used as a reference for breeders and policymakers in managing the risks of certified oil palm seedling breeding businesses.
