RESPONS Trichogramma sp. (Hymenoptera: Trichogrammatidae) TERHADAP JAMUR ENDOFIT ENTOMOPATOGEN YANG DIINOKULASIKAN PADA BENIH PAKCOI

Ramadona, Diva - Personal Name;

The diamondback moth, Plutella xylostella L. (Lepidoptera: Plutellidae), is a serious pest of Brassicaceae Family. P. xylostella is capable of mass migration and causes serious damage on Brassicaceae Family. The objective of this reseach was to determine the effect of entomopathogenic endophytic fungi induced in pak choi seeds on the attraction of Trichogramma sp. and to determine the most effective entomopathogenic endophytic fungal isolate in attracting Trichogramma sp. This research consisted of four stages, beginning with the rejuvenation of entomopathogenic endophytic fungal isolates, inducing entomopathogenic endophytic fungi through seed treatment and planting them in hydroponic media, detecting the colonization of entomopathogenic endophytic fungi in pakchoi tissue resulting from immersion, and testing the ability of fungi induced pakcoi plants by exposing them to parasitoids using an olfactometer. The results showed that pakcoi plants that had been induced with entomopathogenic endophytic fungi had a higher attractiveness to Trichogramma sp. compared to plants that were not induced with fungi (control). The results of the first screening showed that the highest response of Trichogramma sp. to attractants was obtained from plants induced with the PsgTjPr isolate (A. niger) with an average of 70%, while the lowest response was obtained from plants induced with the GaTpeOi isolate (Chaetomium sp.) with an average of 60%. The results of screenings 2 and 3 also showed that the plants with the highest attractiveness were those induced by the endophytic fungus isolate PsgTjPr, with an average of 60%. The conclusion of this research is that plants induced by entomopathogenic endophytic fungi have a positive effect in attracting Trichogramma sp. Plants induced by entomopathogenic endophytic fungi with the code PsgTjPr species A. niger are the most effective isolates for Trichogramma sp. based on the results of the olfactometer test.
