EFEKTIVITAS PESTISIDA NABATI EKSTRAK DAUN MENGKUDU (Morinda citrifolia L.) TERHADAP Colletotrichum capsici PATOGEN ANTRAKNOSA PADA TANAMAN CABAI (Capsicum annuum L.)

Sinaga, Lolita Herlimawaty - Personal Name;

Chili peppers are one of the leading horticultural commodities with high economic value and market demand. The main problem that many farmers experience in chili cultivation to date is anthracnose disease. Anthracnose disease in chili peppers is caused by the pathogen Colletotrichum capsici. One biological control method is the use of biopesticides. One biopesticide that can be used is noni leaves. The purpose of this study is to determine the effect of using natural pesticides extracted from noni leaves (M. citrifolia) on the development of anthracnose disease in chili plants caused by the pathogen C. capsici. This study used a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with 6 treatments, namely: P1 (8%), P2 (10%), P3 (12%), P4 (14%), P5 (16%), and P0 (control) and 4 replicates applied in vitro. The results showed that the growth of C. capsici colonies treated with noni leaf extract varied depending on the concentration. The most effective treatment in inhibiting the growth of C. capsici using noni leaf extract was treatment P3 with a concentration of 12%. On day 21, the effect of noni leaf extract on the percentage of C. capsici at a concentration of 12% was 47.68%. The lowest spore density and mycelium weight of C. capsici were found in treatment P3, which was significantly different from treatments P2 and P5. From the results of this study, it can be concluded that P3 treatment with a concentration of 12% is the most effective concentration in inhibiting mycelial growth, spore growth, and the lowest dry weight.
