APLIAKSI KAPUR KALSIUM OKSIDA PADA AIR RAWA MEDIA BUDIDAYA IKAN PATIN (Pangasius sp.)
The optimal water pH for pangasius catfish culture is 6.5-8.5. One of the several materials that can be used to increase the pH of swamp water is calcium oxide. The research aims to determine the best dose of calcium oxide lime to increase the pH of swamp water as a medium culture of pangasius catfish. This research carried out at the Aquaculture Laboratory and Experimental Ponds, Aquaculture Study Program, Fisheries Department, Faculty of Agriculture, Universitas Sriwijaya from December 2024 to January 2025. This research used a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with five treatments and three replications. The treatment that was given liming with different dose of calcium oxide, namely without using lime (P0), dose of calcium oxide 10 mg L-1 (P1), 20 mg L-1 (P2), 30 mg L-1 (P3), and 40 mg L-1 (P4). Pangasius catfish with initial size of 5±0.5 cm of length with a stocking density of 100 fish per m3 reared for 30 days. The results showed that the best dose of calcium oxide lime for catfish is 20 mg L-1 (P2), it can increase the pH of swamp water from 5.11 to 7.68, absolute length growth of 4.23 cm, absolute weight growth of 6.45 g, survival rate 98.57% and feed efficiency of 85.15%.
