UJI EFEKTIVITAS PROPAGUL FMA LOKAL PASANG SURUT ASAL INANG JAGUNG DENGAN INTERVAL PUPUK MAJEMUK

Darmawan, Arif Rizky - Personal Name;

Arbuscular Mycorrhizal Fungi (AMF) is a group of soil microbes that live symbiotically with most plant species. In suboptimal soils, the presence of AMF can help host plants in absorbing nutrients so as to increase their growth rate. Fertilization is one way to provide nutrients to plants in order to spur plant vegetative growth. One of the known inorganic fertilizers is NPKMg 20-15-15-1 fertilizer. The use of AMF and inorganic fertilizers can each help plant growth. However, there has been no research combining these two factors on maize plants, so it is necessary to test the effectiveness of tidal AMF propagules derived from maize host plants when combined with various frequencies of NPKMg fertilizer application to see the effect and recommended dosage. This research was conducted in July-October 2024 at Greenhouse, Faculty of Agriculture, Sriwijaya University. This research used Randomized Group Design with the dose of AMF propagules as the first factor and the frequency of fertilization as the second factor. Parameters observed included AMF characteristics and morphology, plant height (cm), number of leaves (strands), leaf greenness, crown fresh weight, crown dry weight. The application of mycorrhiza on corn significantly affected almost all parameters, except plant dry weight. The frequency of NPKMg fertilizer application did not show a significant effect, except for plant dry weight. The frequency of NPKMg fertilizer application showed no significant effect except on plant height and leaf greenness. The interaction between the two treatments showed a significant effect on all parameters. A 5 g AMF dose accompanied by twice-weekly NPKMg fertilizer application is recommended in this study. However, for greater efficiency, fertilizer application can also be done once a week.
