PENGARUH RUNNING PHOTOGRAPHY DAN TERPAAN KONTEN MEDIA SOSIAL TERHADAP TREN LARI DI KOTA PALEMBANG
This study was motivated by the increasing running trend in Palembang City, which has developed alongside the growing role of sports photography and the intensive use of social media. Running photography and social media content exposure are understood as forms of visual communication that influence public perception, interest, and behavior toward running activities. This study aimed to analyze the effects of running photography and social media content exposure on the running trend in Palembang City, both partially and simultaneously. A quantitative approach with a survey method was employed. Data were collected through questionnaires distributed to 100 active runners in the Palembang Icon Loop area. The results indicate that running photography and social media content exposure have a positive and significant influence on the running trend. Simultaneously, both variables account for 53.3% of the variation in the running trend, while the remaining 46.7% is influenced by other factors beyond this study. These findings confirm that the visual strength of sports photography and continuous exposure to social media content play an important role in shaping and sustaining running culture as part of an urban lifestyle.
