AKTUALISASI DIRI FRESH GRADUATE KOTA PALEMBANG MELALUI VISUALISASI DI LINKEDIN UPAYA MEMBANGUN PERSONAL BRANDING
The increasing competition in the digital labor market requires university graduates to develop strategies that enhance their competitiveness, one of which is managing a professional image in digital spaces. LinkedIn, as a professional social networking platform, provides opportunities for fresh graduates to actualize themselves while strategically building personal branding. This study aims to examine how fresh graduates in Palembang actualize themselves through visualization on LinkedIn and to explain the role of such visualization in building personal branding. This research employs a descriptive qualitative approach, with data collected through LinkedIn profile observation and in-depth interviews with five informants who are fresh graduates in Palembang. Data analysis is based on The Eight Unbreakable Laws of Personal Branding proposed by Montoya and Vandehey (2002). The findings indicate that LinkedIn profile visualization plays a significant role in shaping a professional image. Consistency and relevance of visual elements strengthen personal branding, increase visibility, and reflect individuals’ readiness to enter the workforce. This study concludes that optimizing LinkedIn’s visual elements is an important strategy for fresh graduates to enhance their competitiveness in the local job market.
