HUBUNGAN PENGETAHUAN DAN POLA MAKAN DENGAN RISIKO ANEMIA REMAJA PUTRI DI SMA NEGERI 1 WAY TENONG LAMPUNG BARAT

Sari, Anindia Mayang - Personal Name;

Anemia remains a public health problem in Indonesia. This condition is indicated by the results of the 2018 Basic Health Research (Riskesdas), which showed that 32% of adolescent girls aged 15-24 years old had anemia. Factors that influence the anemia status of adolescents include nutritional knowledge, diet, iron sources, and protein sources that support the prevention of anemia. This study aims to determine the relationship between knowledge and diet with the risk of anemia in adolescent girls at SMA Negeri 1 Way Tenong, West Lampung. Researchers used a cross-sectional study design involving 42 adolescent girls as respondents. Researchers collected knowledge data using a written questionnaire, a 3x24-hour food recall method, and using a hemoglobinometer easytouch. The results of the univariate analysis showed that most adolescent girls had anemia (15 people (35,7%), did not have anemia (27 people (64,3%), had knowledge in the poor category (3 people (7,1%), had knowledge in the good category (39 people (92,9%) and diet in the poor category (41 people (97,6%). Bivariate analysis using ChiSquare test showed no association between knowledge and anemia risk (p-value= 0,287) and no association between dietary patterns and anemia risk (p-value= 0,357). Based on these findings, it is recommended that adolescent girls improve their knowledge and maintain a balanced diet to reduce the risk of anemia.
