PERBANDINGAN BIPLOT INDIKATOR KEPENDUDUKAN DI INDONESIA TAHUN 2020, 2023, DAN 2024 DENGAN MENGGUNAKAN ANALISIS PROCRUSTES
Indonesia is the fourth most populous country in the world after India, China, and the United States. This condition creates various challenges in resource management and national development, especially in equal access to education, health, and public welfare. This study aims to compare population indicators in Indonesia in 2020, 2023, and 2024. The data matrix includes birth and mortality rates, population size, population growth rate, population density, sex ratio that describe socio-economic conditions, and components of the Human Development Index (HDI), namely Life Expectancy (UHH), Expected Years of Schooling (HLS), and Average Years of Schooling (RLS) across 34 provinces in Indonesia. The data were graphically represented using biplot analysis. The point configuration obtained from the biplots were then compared using Procrustes analysis with two comparisons, 2020 with 2024 and 2023 with 2024. The biplot results showed that the live birth rate, infant and toddler mortality rate, maternal mortality rate, and population had a high positive correlation. Procrustes analysis produced similarity measures between the two compared matrices. In the first comparison, the translation value was 0.0730, the rotation value was 0.0690, and the dilation value was 0.0688, with a similarity of 96.05%. Menwhile, in the second comparison, the translation value was 0.0260, the rotation value was 0.0122, and the dilation value was 0.0119, with a similarity of 99.29%. These results indicate that the population indicator biplots for 2020, 2023, and 2024 are similar, with much smaller changes in the past year compared to changes in the previous four years.
