KETERTARIKAN Trichogramma sp. PADA DAUN PAKCOI YANG DIINOKULASI Penicillium citrinum, TELUR DAN LARVA Plutella xylostella (Lepidoptera: Yponomeutidae)

Nurjanah, Lutfi Dwi - Personal Name;

Pakchoi (Brassica rapa subsp. chinensis) often experiences reduced productivity due to attacks by Plutella xylostella, which can cause damage levels of 30–90% during the growth phase. The purpose of this reasearch was to determine the attraction of the parasitoid Trichogramma to P. xylostella eggs placed on pakchoi plants that had been induced by the entomopathogenic fungus Penicillium citrinum. The research was conducted by testing parasitoid preferences using a randomized block design against several treatments of entomopathogenic endophytic fungi induction, P. xylostella larvae and eggs on pakchoi plants using an olfactometer. The study was used four seed treatments for the first treatment, seeds were induced with P. citrinum through seed soaking, the second, seeds were provided with eggs, the third, seeds were eaten by larvae, and the control consisted of seed without fungal induction or just submerged with steril water. The results showed that Trichogramma sp. adults were more attracted to pakchoi induced with the fungus additional egg P. xyostella treatments. Fungal induction treatment has been shown to increase the efficiency of egg-finding by parasitoids, thereby strengthening biological control. Therefore, it is recommended to release the parasitoid Trichogramma sp. in pakchoi fields and utilize entomopathogenic fungi such as P. citrinum to support the sustainable control of the P. xylostella pest. Key words: Brassica rapa,Corcyra cephalonica, hydroponic system, olfactometer, seedtreatment,
