KOMPOSISI JENIS DAN DOMINANSI GULMA DI PERKEBUNAN TEH (Camellia sinensis L.) PTPN VII AFDELING I KOTA PAGAR ALAM, SUMATERA SELATAN
The tea plantation in Pagar Alam City, South Sumatra, is managed by PT Perkebunan Nusantara (PTPN) VII, one of the largest state-owned enterprises in the agribusiness sector in Indonesia. Weeds are one of the problems that hinder the growth and production of tea plants, so further research is needed to identify the types of weeds present and understand their impact on tea plants. Weed dominance can help identify weeds in an area so that weed control can be carried out effectively and efficiently. This research was conducted in July-August 2025 at the PTPN VII Tea Plantation Area, Afdeling I, Pagar Alam City, South Sumatra. Sampling stations were determined using a Stratified Random Sampling based on the pruning year of the tea plants. At each station, weed samples were collected using the Quadrat Sampling Technique with a plot size of 1 × 1 meter. The number of plots at each station was determined based on the Minimum Area Species Curve. A total of 10 families, 22 genera, and 24 species of weeds were identified in the tea plantation, with herbaceous habit types. The most dominant weed species was Justicia procumbens, which dominated blocks 14A, 1B, and 4A. Then, the dominant weed species in block 16 was Crassocephalum crepidioides.
