GERAKAN BLACK PROTEST TERHADAP RANCANGAN UNDANG-UNDANG ANTI ABORSI DI POLANDIA
This research discusses the strategies employed by the Black Protest movement in response to the Anti-Abortion Bill in Poland. The background of this research stems from the Polish government's increasingly conservative policies, supported by the Catholic Church, which has led to the emergence of policies that could restrict women's reproductive rights. This Black Protest action emerged as a form of collective struggle, involving thousands of women and supported by transnational advocacy networks. Using a qualitative research method based on literature review, this study analyzes the strategies of the Black Protest movement thru the framework of transnational advocacy networks by Keck and Sikkink, which includes advocacy, lobbying, and agenda setting. The results of this study show that the Black Protest successfully mobilized the masses on a large scale, built strategic alliances with international actors, and made the abortion issue a political agenda not only locally but also globally. Although it didn't completely stop the abortion restrictions, the movement was able to change the Anti-Abortion Bill, expand international solidarity, and encourage public debate about women's reproductive rights in Poland. Black Protest plays an important role in influencing policy within the country thru transnational pressure and mass struggle. This finding can be expected to enrich the study of international relations, particularly regarding the role of non-state actors in human rights and gender equality issues.
