PENGEMBANGAN E-MODULE MENULIS ESAI ARGUMENTATIF BERBASIS KONTEKS LOKAL MELALUI PENDEKATAN PROJECT-BASED LEARNING DI SMA NEGERI 10 PALEMBANG
This study aimed to develop a local context-based e-module for writing argumentative essays through a Project-Based Learning (PjBL) approach at SMA Negeri 10 Palembang. The study was conducted to address students’ low argumentative writing skills, limited availability of contextual digital teaching materials, and the lack of optimal project-based learning implementation in Indonesian language instruction. This research employed a Research and Development (R&D) method adapted from the Dick, Carey, and Carey model. The development stages included needs analysis, design and development of the e module, expert validation, formative evaluation through one-to-one and small group trials, and summative evaluation through a field trial. The research subjects were eleventh-grade students of SMA Negeri 10 Palembang. Data were collected using questionnaires, validation sheets, and argumentative essay writing tests. The results indicated that the e-module was highly valid, practical, and effective. The use of the e-module significantly improved students’ argumentative essay writing skills, particularly in argument development, coherence of ideas, and appropriate language use. Therefore, the developed e-module is suitable for use in senior high school Indonesian language learning.
