Julianti, Tia - Personal Name;

This study aims to develop an academic writing E-Module based on FlipHTML5 with a valid, practical, and effective Student-Centered Learning (SCL) approach for 10th grade students at SMA Negeri 10 Palembang. The research method used is Research and Development (R&D) by applying the model from Dick, Carey, and Carey (2015). The development procedure was carried out through ten main stages, namely: (1) identification of learning objectives, (2) instructional analysis, (3) learner and context analysis, (4) formulation of performance objectives, (5) development of assessment instruments, (6) development of instructional strategies, (7) development and selection of teaching materials, (8) design and implementation of formative evaluation, (9) instructional revision, and (10) design and implementation of summative evaluation. The results of the study show that: (1) the E-Module was declared “Highly Valid” with an average score from subject matter experts of 97.5%, media experts of 95%, and language experts of 97.5%; (2) The E-Module was declared “Very Practical” with an average trial percentage (one-to one and small group) of 93.6%; (3) The E-Module was proven to be “Effective” in improving students' academic writing skills, as shown by an increase in the average score from 64.25 (pre-test) to 79.58 (post-test) and an N-Gain Score of 0.4389 (category “Moderate”). The conclusion of this study is that the FlipHTML5-based academic writing E-Module with an SCL approach developed using the Dick, Carey, and Carey model is feasible and effective for use in learning at SMA Negeri 10 Palembang.
