PERSEPSI SISWA DAN HUBUNGANNYA DENGAN MOTIVASI BELAJAR TERHADAP PEMBELAJARAN FISIKA KELAS X SMA METHODIST 3 PALEMBANG

This study aims to determine the relationship between variable X and students' learning motivation at SMA Methodist 3 Palembang. This research uses a quantitative approach with a correlational method. The research subjects consisted of 9 respondents selected as the research sample. Data collection techniques were carried out using questionnaire instruments developed based on the indicators of each variable, and then the data were analyzed using the Spearman Rank correlation test due to the ordinal scale of the obtained data. The results of the data analysis showed a correlation coefficient of ρ = 0.4, indicating a positive relationship with a moderate level of strength. However, based on the significance test, it was found that t-count (1.155) < t-table (2.365), which means the relationship is not statistically significant. These findings suggest that although there is a tendency for an increase in variable X to be followed by an increase in learning motivation, the formed relationship is not strong enough to be generalized to a broader population. This confirms that students' learning motivation is not only influenced by variable X but is also affected by other factors outside the scope of this study. The results of this research are expected to serve as consideration for the school and as a reference for future researchers to increase the sample size to obtain more accurate results.
