ANALISIS FRAMING KONTEN AKUN INSTAGRAM @SALSAER DALAM MENYUARAKAN 17+8 TUNTUTAN RAKYAT TAHUN 2025
The 17+8 People's Demands Movement in 2025 in Indonesia marks an important historical milestone in the development of digital activism in the country, where the struggle is not merely about taking to the streets, but also through the construction of narratives on social media. One figure who emerged in this movement is Salsa Erwina, an Indonesian diaspora living in Denmark who used her Instagram account @salsaer to voice the people's demands. This research analyzes Salsa's framing strategy in constructing narratives during the period of August 29 – September 17, 2025. This research employs Robert N. Entman's framing analysis which encompasses issue selection, issue emphasis, problem definition, cause diagnosis, moral judgment, and treatment recommendation. The findings demonstrate that Salsa consistently utilized both major dimensions and all four elements of framing in each of her contents. Salsa framed the problems as a system failure, identified the root causes in feudal and corrupt political culture, positioned political officials as lacking empathy and immoral while labeling the people as heroes, and provided concrete solutions such as the ratification of the Asset Forfeiture Bill, demanded transparency and accountability of House of Representatives members, and the dismissal of arrogant political elites. In-depth interviews with Salsa Erwina confirmed that all framing strategies were conducted consciously and systematically. Keywords: Framing, Social Media, 17+8 People's Demands, Robert N. Entman.
