KEMAMPUAN BERPIKIR KRITIS MATEMATIS SISWA SMP MELALUI MODEL PROBLEM POSING MENGGUNAKAN KONTEKS JEMBATAN AMPERA PADA MATERI BALOK
This study aims to describe the mathematical critical thinking skills of junior high school students through the application of the problem posing model using the context of the Ampera Bridge on block materials. This research was carried out on students in grade IX.1 of SMP Negeri 17 Palembang in the odd semester of the 2025/2026 academic year. Data collection was carried out through written tests of critical thinking skills, interviews, and documentation. Learning was carried out during two meetings using problem-posing-based LKPD, and tests were given at the third meeting. Data analysis is based on indicators of critical thinking ability, namely focus, conclusions, and reasons. The results showed that students' mathematical critical thinking skills were generally in the very good category with an average score of 82.89%. The focus and conclusion indicators show better results than the reason indicators. The application of the problem posing model with the context of the Ampera Bridge helps students understand the concept of blocks more concretely and encourages active student involvement in learning. Thus, it can be concluded that the problem posing model using the context of the Ampera Bridge is able to support the development of students' mathematical critical thinking skills, although the ability to give logical reasons still needs to be improved.
