PENGORGANISASIAN PROSES VERIFIKASI DOKUMEN PERJALANAN DINAS PADA DINAS KEBUDAYAAN DAN PARIWISATA PROVINSI SUMATERA SELATAN

This study aims to describe and analyze the organization of the verification process for official travel documents at the Department of Culture and Tourism of South Sumatra Province. The research employs a qualitative approach with a descriptive method. Data were collected through interviews, observations, and documentation. The analysis is based on Luther Gulick’s 1937 theory of organizing, which focuses on five aspect: job specification, division of work, work integration, work coordination, and monitoring and reorganization. The results indicate that the organization of the official travel document verification process has generally been implemented fairly well, particularly in the aspect of division of work, work integration, and monitoring and reorganization, which support administrative order and the smooth verification process. However, the organization has not been fully maximal, as problems remain in the aspect of job specification and work coordination. Incomplete documents submitted by applicants lead to repeated verification processes, while coordination that is not yet fully orderly also contributes to delays in document completion.
