UJI EFEKTIVITAS EKSTRAK KULIT BUAH NANAS (Ananas comosus L.) TERHADAP PERTUMBUHAN JAMUR Colletotrichum acutatum PENYEBAB ANTRAKNOSA PADA TANAMAN CABAI (Capsicum frutescens)
Chili is a high-value horticultural commodity widely cultivated in Asian and African countries. In Indonesia, one of the most widely consumed types is Capsici frutescens (bird's eye chili). One of the main diseases affecting chili plants is anthracnose, caused by the fungus Colletotrichum acutatum, which can lead to significant losses in cayenne pepper production. One alternative method for controlling anthracnose is to utilize natural fungicides such as pineapple peel waste. Therefore, this research was conducted to study the potential of pineapple peel as a biofungicide with different extract concentrations. This research examines the identification of the fungus C. acutatum, phytochemical testing of pineapple peel extract, the average colony growth diameter of the fungus C. acutatum, and the percentage of inhibition of the fungus C. acutatum's growth. This research uses a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) method, which consists of 6 treatments, including a control, with 4 replications. The treatments applied included negative control (-); Fungicide; Pineapple peel extract at a concentration of 30%; Pineapple peel extract at a concentration of 40%; Pineapple peel extract at a concentration of 50%; and Pineapple peel extract at a concentration of 60%. The conclusion drawn from this study is that overall, in each Kns treatment with different concentrations, there was a significant difference compared to the fungicide treatment. This indicates that each Kns treatment with different concentrations was able to inhibit the growth of the fungus C. acutatum compared to the pesticide treatment with antracol.
