KEMAMPUAN PEMODELAN MATEMATIKA DALAM PEMBELAJARAN BERBANTUAN LIVEWORKSHEETS PADA MATERI PHYTAGORAS DI SMP KELAS VIII

This research aims to describe the mathematical modeling ability of grade VIII junior high school students in learning the Pythagorean Theorem material with the help of Liveworksheets. This research uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive method. The research subject consists of 22 junior high school students class VIII. The research instruments used include mathematical modeling ability tests and interview guidelines. Data analysis is carried out through the stages of data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The research results show that the mathematical modeling skills of students are in various categories. A total of 10 students (45,45%) are in the Good category, 5 students (22,73%) are in the Very Good category, and 7 students (31,82%) are in the Poor category. Meanwhile, there are no students who are in the Fair or Very Poor category. Furthermore, three students were selected who represented the Very Good, Good, and Less categories to be further analyzed through interviews to obtain an in-depth picture of mathematical modeling skills based on the established indicators. Liveworksheets assisted learning is proven to help learners in understanding contextual problems, compiling mathematical models, and doing calculations systematically, although students in the Less category still experience obstacles in formulating models and interpreting results.
