ANALISIS KELAYAKAN USAHA IKAN ASIN DI KAMPUNG SIABANG KELURAHAN 5 ULU KECAMATAN SEBERANG ULU 1 KOTA PALEMBANG.
This study aims to evaluate the feasibility of a traditional salted fish business operated by 20 home-based processors in Kampung Siabang, 5 Ulu Sub-District, Seberang Ulu I, Palembang City, from financial and non-financial perspectives. Data were collected through interviews, direct observation, and documentation using a case study approach. Financial feasibility was assessed using Net Present Value (NPV), Internal Rate of Return (IRR), Gross Benefit-Cost Ratio (Gross B/C), and Payback Period (PP). Non-financial feasibility was measured through scoring on legal, technical, management, and environmental aspects. The results indicate that the business is financially feasible, with a positive NPV, an IRR (above the 6.06% deposit discount rate), a Gross B/C, and a Payback Period reflecting acceptable investment recovery for a household-scale enterprise. However, from the non-financial perspective, the business is not fully feasible, due to unmet legal compliance (0.00%) and low environmental feasibility (36.67%), while technical and management aspects are feasible (66.67%). Sensitivity analysis using the switching value method shows the business remains feasible within tolerable change limits: raw-material cost increase, selling price decrease, and production decline. The most sensitive factor affecting feasibility is selling price reduction. In conclusion, the Kampung Siabang salted fish business is financially viable but requires improvements in business licensing and environmental management to support long-term sustainability. Keywords: salted fish, business feasibility, npv, irr, gross b/c, payback period, sensitivity analysis, household-scale fish processing
