ANALISIS VARIABILITAS SUHU PERMUKAAN LAUT DAN KLOROFIL-A SERTA PENGARUHNYA TERHADAP HASIL TANGKAPAN IKAN TENGGIRI (Scomberomorus spp.) YANG DIDARATKAN DI PPP KUALA TUNGKAL PROVINSI JAMBI
Mackerel (Scomberomorus spp.) is a dominant pelagic species landed at the Kuala Tungkal Coastal Fishing Port (PPP Kuala Tungkal). This study analyzes the variability of sea surface temperature (SST) and chlorophyll-a concentrations and their influence on mackerel catches during 2019-2023, as well as examines the relationship between ENSO and IOD climate phenomena with the variability of SST, chlorophyll-a, and catch. The data used include satellite- derived SST and chlorophyll-a, ONI and DMI climate indices, and fish landing records; analyses were conducted using Pearson correlation and multiple linear egression. SST ranged from 28.78-32.75°C and chlorophyll-a from 1.71-8.41 mg/m³, while catch trends showed a gradual decline with seasonal peaks during the second transitional season and the lowest values in the west monsoon. Correlation analysis showed that ENSO and IOD, weak influences on the variability of SST and chlorophyll-a. Regression analysis indicated that chlorophyll-a significantly af ects catch (p = 0.014), and the La Niña phase also has a significant ef ect (p = 0.033). The overall model was significant (p = 0.036), but explained only 19.4% of the variation in catch, while SST, El Niño, and IOD did not ,show significant efects.
