ANALISIS WACANA BERBASIS KORPUS PADA PENGGUNAAN BAHASA KOREA DI AKUN TIKTOK KANG RIZZ KAN (STUDI PADA KOMENTAR KONTEN TIKTOK "POV: IDOL KOREA JALAN DI PINGGIRAN SEOUL")
This study aims to analyze the use of Korean language expressions in the TikTok comment section of the content creator Kang Rizz Kan and to explore the social and cultural meanings underlying these linguistic practices. The research adopts a qualitative approach using corpus-based discourse analysis, with data collected from TikTok user comments and examined through frequency patterns, collocations, and contextual usage. Arjun Appadurai’s theory of cultural globalization is employed as an assumptive framework to understand how global cultural elements circulate, are interpreted, and localized within digital spaces. The findings indicate that Korean expressions such as aigo, jinjja, shibal, and annyeong do not replace Indonesian as the primary linguistic code, but rather function selectively and symbolically within users’ communication practices. Korean language elements serve as global symbolic resources used to construct humor, emotional closeness, and group identity within online communities. The study also reveals the presence of parasocial interaction, as audiences actively engage with and extend the role-play narrative created by the content creator. Overall, the findings demonstrate that this phenomenon reflects a fluid and hybrid process of cultural globalization that does not threaten local Indonesian cultural identity.
