KOMUNIKASI KRISIS ELITE POLITIK DALAM MERESPONS ISU DEMONSTRASI DPR RI 2025 MELALUI MEDIA SOSIAL INSTAGRAM DI ERA DISTRUST (Analisis Isi Konten pada Akun Instagram @king_uyakuya, @ekopatriosuper, dan @bakom.ri)
This study aims to analyze the crisis communication strategies of political elites in responding to the issue of the 2025 Indonesian House of Representatives demonstration through Instagram social media in an era of public distrust. The focus of the study is directed at the Instagram accounts @king_uyakuya, @ekopatriosuper, and @bakom.ri as representations of personal and institutional political elites. This study uses a qualitative approach with content analysis methods and is based on Image Restoration Theory (Benoit) to identify the communication strategies used. Data were collected from Instagram posts published between August 17, 2025, and September 30, 2025, including visual content, captions, and audience interactions. The results show that political elites tend to use strategies of denial, reducing offensiveness, evasion of responsibility, and mortification, but their application is partial, inconsistent, and lacks two-way dialogue, so they have not been able to reduce public distrust. In contrast, crisis communication carried out by the institutional account @bakom.ri shows a more structured pattern through a combination of denial, reducing offensiveness, and corrective action strategies, supported by narratives of unity and humanity. These findings confirm that crisis communication capabilities are greatly influenced by message consistency, openness of interaction, and communicator legitimacy in rebuilding public trust amid social crises.
