ANALISIS HASIL EKSTRAKSI NANOSILIKA BERBAHAN DASAR FLY ASH MENGGUNAKAN METODE PEMANASAN DENGAN VARIASI WAKTU PENGERINGAN.
Nanosilica is nano-sized silica which is around 1-100 nm and has a function to increase the compressive strength of concrete. Nanosilica can be produced by extraction process from fly ash waste. The materials used in this study were fly ash, Hydrochloric acid (HCl) solution, Sodium Hydroxide (NaOH) solution, and distilled water. This study used variations in drying time for 12, 15, and 18 hours. This study used microstructure testing to analyze the extraction results consisting of X-ray diffraction (XRD), X-ray fluorescence (XRF), and Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM). From these results, it can be concluded that the longer the drying time, the larger the size and higher the percentage of crystals also it can reduce the silica content in the sample. Based on the test, it was obtained that the optimum time for drying in the extraction process was 12 hours which produced silica purity of ±33% and an average crystal size of 39.96 nm with crystalline as much as 13.42% and amorphous as much as 86.57 %.
